The Shimano Vanford is built upon a CI4+ body and so it has both a light feel and carbon rigidity. The Vanford has a Magnum-Lite (MGL) Rotor for up to 48% less rotational inertia for a quick response. Shimano’s cold-forged HAGANE Gear is featured for raised fishing performance and years of durability are included too.
The Shimano Vanford’s Silent-Drive and Micro-Module Gear II tech combine to produce a new level of smooth rotation. This reduces total reel vibration. The Vanford also includes Long Stroke Spool tech to increase casting distance while producing a smooth line lay on the spool. X-Protect tech and water-channel construction enhance the water resistance and total durability. This is an important feature for a reel sure to be found at inshore fishing spots.
