The Mustad TG76NP KVD Triple Grip Treble Hook was designed with the input of Kevin Van Dam – arguably the greatest bass fisherman of all time, to produce a sticky-sharp treble hook that hooks and holds fish better than the competition.
The unique inward angle of the Opti-Angle Needle Point hook point of the KVD Triple Grip creates a sharper bend, in turn locking fish into the “corner” of the hook bend and prevents them from throwing the hook. This design feature also allows the bait to come through various cover better than traditional round bend trebles without snagging.
Another advantage is the 2x Short Shank, which allows the angler to upsize their stock hooks to the next size up on almost every bait on the market without risking hooks tangling with each other.
All things being equal, larger hooks lead to higher hook up and landing percentages whether you are fishing a crankbait, a top-water, or a variety of other treble hook baits.
